If you’re heading to the College World Series (CWS) in Omaha, parking is half the battle—and planning ahead can save you serious time, money, and headaches. Whether you want the cheapest parking for the CWS, the shortest walk to Charles Schwab Field, a tailgate-friendly lot, or a parking spot that doesn’t fill up hours before the first pitch, this CWS parking guide has you covered. Our local experts break down your parking options based on cost, distance to the stadium, type (surface lot, parking garage, street meters, etc.), availability, time limits and special event rules, and payment options—so you can focus on game-day fun, not circling the block.

Parking for the CWS

Charles Schwab Field Omaha

Located at 1200 Mike Fahey Street, Charles Schwab Field offers prime parking for fans who prefer a short commute and who don’t mind getting to the stadium well in advance. Surface parking at Charles Schwab Field starts at $10 and garage parking is $15. Lot C is one of the closest surface parking lots at the stadium, and because of this, it tends to reach capacity very quickly. Parking lots B and D are reserved for visitors with permit holders. In-and-out parking is not allowed at any stadium lots, so you’ll want to travel by foot or scooter to nearby Downtown Omaha places like the Old Market, Capitol District, or Millwork Commons to kill time before the game.

CHI Health Center Omaha

CHI Health Center Omaha, located at 455 N 10th Street, has parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. Surface parking in Lot A is $10, while the attached garage offers covered parking for $15 during the CWS. The attached garage gives fans easy access to Charles Schwab Field via S 10th St and Meca Dr. Walking to the stadium takes around five to ten minutes. While in-and-out parking is prohibited at this venue, tailgating is allowed. Just know that parking a bus, RV, or trailer costs $25. Parking opens at 8 a.m. on CWS game days and closes 90 minutes after the game.

Creighton University Lots

Creighton University offers parking options for CWS attendees, providing convenient access to the Charles Schwab Field area. These parking lots, located on Creighton’s campus and just a few blocks west of the stadium, are typically available for a fee and often allow tailgating within individual parking spaces. Keep in mind that overnight parking is usually not permitted, and the lots are patrolled during event sessions for security. These lots will require a 25 to 30-minute walk to the stadium.

Park Omaha Parking Garages

You’ll find public garage parking in Blackstone, the Capitol District, and the Old Market. Select Downtown Omaha garages offer a flat parking rate of $15 per day during the CWS:

Other public garages typically charge hourly fees, ranging anywhere from $0.50-$2.50 per hour with a $10 to $25 day maximum. All garage parking accepts credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payments. Tailgating isn’t allowed inside any of these garages. Spaces can fill quickly, especially for evening and weekend games, so plan to arrive early if you want to guarantee a spot. You’ll also want to budget extra time for traffic after the game, since these exits can back up fast.

Local tips:

  • Electric vehicle stations are available at all parking garages on level one for $1-$2 per hour
  • No overnight parking or in-and-out parking allowed unless signs state otherwise
  • Rent a bike for faster travel to the stadium

Park Omaha Surface Parking Lots

Park Omaha manages over 400 available surface spots throughout Downtown Omaha. Surface parking lots are available for CWS parking anywhere from $10 to $25 per day. You’ll find surface parking lots between 15th St and 19th St less than a mile from the stadium, so walking will take around 15 minutes. The Mike Fahey Parking Lot at 1607 Mike Fahey Street, a 12-minute walk to Charles Schwab Field, charges a flat fee of $15 per day.

Local tips:

  • Surface lots south of Dodge Street tend to be less crowded and cheaper if you can manage a longer walk
  • No overnight parking in most public lots unless specifically posted
  • No tailgating or in-and-out parking allowed

Park Omaha On-Street Parking

Metered parking is scattered throughout Downtown Omaha from 10th St to 17th St and Cass St to Cuming St. These spots are typically metered until 9 p.m., but are subject to varying time limits and special event rates on game days. Double check posted signage for event rules to avoid citations. On-street parking can be paid via coins or credit card at the kiosk or through the ParkMobile app. By paying through the app, you can extend your time without having to run back to the meter and can reserve a parking spot in advance for select spaces.

Local tips:

  • Watch for event rates—if you pay the normal hourly rate instead of the flat fee, you could be ticketed
  • Reserve a spot at least 3 weeks early if you’re attending an evening or weekend game
  • Scooter rentals are available in the app too, if you want a quicker way to get to the stadium than by foot

Private Parking Lots

Numerous private parking lots and garages are located around Charles Schwab Field. These privately operated lots often offer varying rates for pricing. Some may be closer to the stadium, while others may provide shuttle services for fans. You can check AirGarage, online parking apps, or look for signage near the stadium to compare prices and locations.

Westroads Mall – Free Parking

You can find free parking for the CWS at Westroads Mall and take the Omaha Rapid Bus Transit (ORBT), which travels directly to Downtown Omaha. Not only is this a cost-effective CWS parking option, as you only have to pay $1.25 through the Umo app, but the ORBT bus runs on a frequent schedule to and from the games at Charles Schwab Field. This option allows fans to avoid Downtown traffic and parking congestion.

Frequently Asked Questions About CWS Parking

How do you pay for parking in Omaha?

You can pay for most street parking, surface lots, and garages with coins or a debit or credit card at the kiosk or by using the ParkMobile app. Some private lots still require cash.

What is in-and-out parking?

In-and-out parking means you’re allowed to leave and come back without paying again. Most lots and garages near Charles Schwab Field do not allow in-and-out during CWS, so once you leave, your spot is gone.

Do you have to pay for parking in the Old Market or Downtown?

Yes, parking in the Old Market and the rest of Downtown Omaha is usually metered or located in paid garages. During CWS, special event rates often apply, so expect to pay a flat fee rather than an hourly rate.

Is there dedicated bike and motorcycle parking for CWS Visitors?

Downtown Omaha has bike racks scattered throughout the area, and many Downtown Omaha garages offer designated motorcycle parking spots. Check signs when you pull in.

What if I don’t want to drive to Charles Schwab Field?

If you don’t want to drive to Baseball Village events, rideshares like Uber and Lyft operate throughout Omaha. Electric scooters and bikes are also available for rent through the ParkMobile app—perfect if you park farther out and want a quick ride to the stadium. Or catch the ORBT for as low as $1.25.

Can I leave my car overnight during the CWS?

It depends. Most Park Omaha garages and surface lots do not allow overnight parking unless it’s specifically posted. Private lots may have different rules—check signage carefully to avoid getting fined or towed.

Is ADA parking available for the College World Series?

Yes, ADA parking is available at Charles Schwab Field and in many nearby lots and garages. Spaces are first-come, first-served, so it’s a good idea to arrive early if you need accessible parking.

Are RVs allowed to park at the stadium?

Parking for oversized vehicles like RVs and motorhomes is very limited near the stadium. Some private lots may offer spots at a $25 fee. It’s best to call ahead to private lots to check availability.

How early should you arrive for a CWS game?

Plan to arrive at least 90 minutes before first pitch, especially on weekends or for evening games. Traffic and parking fill up fast—the earlier, the better if you want the best spots!

Are shuttle services available to the College World Series?

Yes! Some private lots and hotels for the CWS offer shuttle services to Charles Schwab Field. Details vary, so check with the lot or your hotel ahead of time if you want a ride to the stadium.

Can you reserve parking in advance for the CWS?

Yes, you can reserve some surface lots, garages, and even a few street parking spots before CWS games through the ParkMobile app. Reservations typically open 30 days before the College World Series starts. For the best selection and prices, it’s smart to book as early as possible—ideally 2–3 weeks before your game day. Popular lots and garages closest to Charles Schwab Field often sell out quickly, especially for weekend games and late-round matchups.
