Rally on the Route, the largest collaborative block party downtown Omaha has seen, stole the show Saturday.
 
In an effort to support the local businesses impacted by the ongoing streetcar construction, the block on 16th St between Harney and Farnam was shut down to celebrate downtown Omaha`s food, drink, and performing arts. Omaha showed up in droves and had a grand time, proving this city love and supports its local businesses.

Learning to grill just in time for the first gameday and Labor Day weekend of the season. Was there some learning involved? Yes. But we made it out the other side with good food and a new skill, and lunch for our team. Happy Labor Day and happy gameday weekend Omaha!

After nearly 70 years, the Aksarben Curling Club has officially signed a lease for its own dedicated facility at 7413 Irvington Road. Doors could open as soon as February 2027, but as a nonprofit, they are still looking for support from the community to help reach their funding goal. Want to help? Visit curlaksarben.com to donate.
