Survivor came to Omaha Monday afternoon, as more than 1,000 adoring fans from all around the Midwest flocked to Omaha’s Lauritzen Gardens to experience a part of the beloved show.
On Sunday night, Omaha paused for its artists.
The Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards (@oeaawards) gathered the creatives who make this city feel alive- 60+ awards, so many proud moments and proof that our art scene thrives because people keep showing up.

No snow day required — 38,000 pounds of specially produced snow set the stage for Nebraska’s Snow Sculpting Championships. ❄️☃️
This weekend, teams from across the state gathered in Omaha to transform massive blocks of snow into detailed, larger-than-life sculptures — using only hand tools, teamwork, and a whole lot of creativity.
The Nebraska Snow Sculpting Championships aren’t just about beautiful winter art. The winning team will go on to represent Nebraska at the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition in Wisconsin next year — making this a true state-level showdown.
From the first carve to the final details, it was a reminder of how much talent and community spirit we have right here in our backyard.
