For more than eight decades, Omaha helped make some of the cereals many of us grew up eating.
 
Rice Krispies. Raisin Bran. Corn Pops. Apple Jacks. Froot Loops.
 
Behind them was a massive operation on F Street, complete with six-story puffing towers, 30 ingredient silos and even railroad tracks running directly into the building.
 
Production ended in August 2026, closing a huge chapter of Omaha manufacturing history.

Midwest Fest brings more than 70 Omaha makers, creators, and entrepreneurs to create a one-of-a-kind experience to support local.

With food trucks, mobile taps, a DJ, yard games, and more, Midwest Fest drew thousands of Omahans to Heartwood Preserve Sunday for a celebration of all things local.
