Dan Hoppen

Dan Hoppen

A lifelong resident, Dan Hoppen’s role as a Content Creator for Hurrdat ONE allows him to showcase all the greatness Omaha has to offer. Through social media, podcasts, and blog posts, he and the Hurrdat ONE team spotlight the people, events, restaurants, history, and attractions that make this city special.

Dan’s great appreciation for food started around the family dinner table, as his mother was a stellar home cook. That love was further instilled by watching the Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives,” which highlighted local chefs and restaurants in a unique way. Dan was inspired by the passion that its host, Guy Fieri, had for the people he met and the impact he made on the community.

In 2019, Dan started his podcast, “Restaurant Hoppen,” where he chats with Omaha chefs, restaurateurs, bakers, or coffee shop owners about their background, business, and food. He also helps Omahans find their next great meal by highlighting locally-owned restaurants on his social media and his website, restauranthoppen.com.

Grace Dunbar

Raised in Omaha, NE, Grace Dunbar graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) with a Bachelor of Arts in film studies and minors in broadcasting, theatre, and English. Though she initially pursued a degree in elementary education, Grace quickly discovered her true passion was for media and entertainment. During her time at UNL, she worked behind the scenes on numerous theatrical productions, contributing to props, set painting, and actor dressing for musicals.

Most of Grace’s media career has been spent behind the camera, but she recently stepped into the spotlight on “Minimum Rage,” a podcast she co-hosts with Joslyne DeBonis. The show dives into the hilarious and relatable world of minimum wage jobs, featuring guests who share their unique and sometimes shocking work stories. Full of laughter, anecdotes, and nostalgia, “Minimum Rage” resonates with anyone who has ever left work in a (literal or figurative) fit of rage.

Grace joined Hurrdat in 2021 as a media production intern and quickly grew through roles such as video editor and photographer for Hurrdat Sports and media producer for Hurrdat Entertainment. Today, she serves as director of the Hurrdat ONE network, a role she’s thrilled to take on as the team continues to spotlight Omaha’s vibrant community.

When Grace isn’t producing podcasts or creating content, she enjoys reading fiction, photographing nature, attempting to play pickleball with her friends, and seeing local live musical productions. She’s also an avid traveler, always eager to explore and embrace new cultures.
