Werner Park’s New Menu Items Are Here!
Werner Park launched a new menu just in time for Opening Day! This menu includes: Grilled Alligator, a 2-foot Hot Dog, Hatch Green Chili Mac & Cheese, and many more!
What’s New on the Menu at Werner Park This Season
The new additions are built around novelty and flavor. Hurrdat One’s Pat Safford and Joslyne DeBonis hit the park to give the items the taste test! Most notably, the grilled alligator and 2-foot hot dog were some menu items that had a lot of buzz. Neither is typical ballpark fare, which is exactly the point.
Gator Tornado
Alligator meat isn’t a common sight in the Midwest, and that’s part of what makes this addition worth talking about. The flavor lands spicy on the front end with a pineapple base underneath that keeps it from being overwhelming. For anyone on the fence, the consensus was clear, it’s delicious and refreshing and you need to try it.
The Gator Tornado is pita bread stacked high with grilled gator, pickled onions, pineapple, pico de gallo, red cabbage, and sweet chili.
Gator is well-established in Florida and Gulf Coast food culture and finding it at an Omaha ballpark is unexpected, but intentional. It’s approachable enough for a first-timer and interesting enough for someone who’s had it before.
Two Foot Team Weiner
The other standout is exactly what it sounds like. A hot dog measured in feet is the kind of menu item that works as a food challenge, a shareable order or just a good excuse to see if you can finish it.
The Two Foot Team Weiner is a Polish sausage loaded with brisket, pulled pork, cheese, onions, jalapenos, garlic aioli served on a toasted bun.
If you’re bold enough to tackle this solo, go for it, but it’s way better with a group. It comes in an easy-to-carry box that’s perfect for sharing.
Tickets are on sale now for the Storm Chasers’ 2026 season. The new menu items will be available at concessions, so if gator bites or an oversized hot dog sounds like the right way to kick off the season, snag your tickets ASAP!
