Dundee is one of Omaha’s most unique and historic neighborhoods. As Omaha’s first suburb, dating back to 1880, it’s known for tree-lined streets, a mix of Colonial-style homes, and a small-town charm. It’s also home to some famous names, from Warren Buffett to actor Henry Fonda, and even has a wartime claim to fame as the site of a Japanese balloon bomb that exploded there in 1945. Beyond the history, it’s packed with activities and restaurants that you can spend a whole day here without needing a car.
