How Does the College World Series Work?
The CWS (standing for the College World Series) features eight baseball teams competing in a split bracket with double elimination. Each bracket’s winners move to a best-of-three championship series to crown the national champion. Games are spread out over 10-12 days, occurring from early to late afternoon.
When Is the CWS?
The 2025 College World Series runs from June 13 to June 23. The final championship games for the 2025 CWS will be Saturday, June 21st, Sunday, June 22nd, and potentially Monday, June 23rd if one team does not win the first two in the series.
How Long Is a CWS Game? How Many Innings Are in CWS Games?
A typical CWS game lasts around 3 to 4 hours, but game length can vary depending on extra innings, pitching changes, and weather delays. Just like standard baseball, each CWS game is nine innings—unless the score is tied, in which case it goes into extra innings until there’s a winner.

What Can I Bring into the Stadium?
Here’s what you can bring into Charles Schwab Field:

- One clear plastic water bottle less than 20 ounces per guest

- One clear plastic bag (12 x 6 x 12 inches max)

What's the Seating Chart at Charles Schwab Field?
There are multiple seating sections in Charles Schwab Field. The stadium’s layout includes lower bowl sections around the infield and outfield, and club and suite areas with elevator access. It also features ADA-compliant seating throughout.
Is Charles Schwab Field ADA Accessible?
Yes, Charles Schwab Field has accessibility features to ensure all fans can enjoy the College World Series comfortably, including:
- Entrance & Drop-Off Zones: All four entry gates are ADA accessible. The Suite/Club entrance on 13th Street is designated for ADA Seat Holders. ADA drop-off zones are available at Gates 1 and 2.
- Seating: Reserved ADA seating is available in every price tier throughout the stadium and each allows for up to three companion seats.
- Elevators & Ramps: Elevators are available at Gate 2 near the box office and at the Site/Club entrance. A public ramp is near Gate 3.
- Mobility Assistance: Complimentary wheelchair escorts are available at any entrance.
- Service Animals: Service animals are welcome. Let your ticket seller know in advance for proper seating accommodations.
- Restrooms: All restrooms are ADA accessible. Family/unisex restrooms are also available throughout the ballpark.
- Assistive Listening: Devices are available at Guest Services (Section 113) and closed captioning is available on mobile devices upon request.
