If you’re heading to the College World Series (CWS) in Omaha, parking is half the battle—and planning ahead can save you serious time, money, and headaches. Whether you want the cheapest parking for the CWS, the shortest walk to Charles Schwab Field, a tailgate-friendly lot, or a parking spot that doesn’t fill up hours before the first pitch, this CWS parking guide has you covered. Our local experts break down your parking options based on cost, distance to the stadium, type (surface lot, parking garage, street meters, etc.), availability, time limits and special event rules, and payment options—so you can focus on game-day fun, not circling the block.

Parking map for the CWS

Charles Schwab Field Omaha

Located at 1200 Mike Fahey Street, Charles Schwab Field offers prime parking for fans who prefer a short commute and who don’t mind getting to the stadium well in advance. Surface parking at Charles Schwab Field costs $15 for the day. Lot C is inaccessible during the College World Series due to Fan Fest. Parking Lots B and D are permit parking only, with limited first come, first served availability in Lot D. In-and-out parking is not allowed at any stadium lots, so you’ll want to travel by foot or scooter to nearby downtown Omaha places like the Old Market, Capitol District, or Millwork Commons to kill time before the game.

CHI Health Center Omaha

CHI Health Center Omaha, located at 455 N 10th Street, also has parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. Surface parking in Lot A is $15. Covered parking is also available for $15 in the arena’s attached garage. Both options are about a five to ten minute walk from the stadium. While in-and-out parking is prohibited at this venue, tailgating is allowed in surface lots. Just know that parking a bus, RV, or trailer costs $25. Parking opens at 8 a.m. on CWS game days and closes 90 minutes after the game.

Creighton University Lots

Creighton University offers parking options for CWS attendees, providing convenient access to the Charles Schwab Field area. These parking lots, located on Creighton’s campus just a few blocks west of the stadium, are typically available for a fee and often permit tailgating within individual parking spaces. Keep in mind that overnight parking is generally not allowed. These lots are routinely patrolled for security and require a 25- to 30-minute walk to the stadium.

Park Omaha Garages

You can find city-owned or partnered public garage parking in Blackstone, the Capitol District, and the Old Market on game days. City garages vary in price, some with limits on how long you can park. Most charge hourly fees, ranging anywhere from $0.50-$2.50 per hour with a $10 to $15 daily limit. Here are cheap parking garages available for the CWS:

City parking garages accept mobile payments along with debit or credit cards. These garages prohibit tailgating. Parking fills up quickly in the evenings and weekends, so plan to arrive early.

Local tips:

  • Electric vehicle stations are available at all parking garages on level one for $1 for four hours, and $2 afterwards.
  • No overnight or in-and-out parking allowed unless signs state otherwise.
  • Rent a bike or scooter for faster travel to the stadium.
  • Don’t forget about post-game traffic, a lot of people will be leaving garages at the same time.

Park Omaha Surface Lots

Park Omaha has surface parking lots available for CWS parking. They are located at 1512 Chicago St, 1604 Chicago St, 1703 Chicago St, and 1607 Mike Fahey Street. The Chicago St lots are only about a mile from the stadium and open at 3 p.m. on weekdays and are open all day on weekends. The Mike Fahey Parking Lot (not to be confused with the closed Mike Fahey Street), is a designated surface lot about a 12-minute walk to Charles Schwab Field that will remain open during the CWS. All of these surface lots charge a flat rate of $15 per day and can be paid for through the Park Omaha app.

Local tips:

  • Surface lots south of Dodge Street tend to be less crowded and cheaper if you can manage a longer commute.
  • No overnight parking in most public lots unless specifically posted.
  • No tailgating or in-and-out parking allowed.

Park Omaha On-Street Parking

Metered parking is available throughout downtown Omaha. The rates are higher for the College World Series — a flat $30 per day. This fee is charged whether you are park the whole day or just a few hours. On-street parking can be paid via coins or credit card at the kiosk or through the ParkMobile app. By using the app, you can reserve a parking spot in advance for select spaces.

Local tips:

  • If you want to save a bit of money, try to reserve a spot in a garage or surface lot as the rates will be cheaper.
  • All other metered parking in Omaha outside this area will vary dependent on the parking zone.
  • Scooter rentals and bike rentals are available, if you want a quicker way to get to the stadium than by foot.

Private Parking Lots

Numerous private parking lots and garages are located around Charles Schwab Field. These privately operated lots often offer varying rates for pricing. Some may be closer to the stadium, while others may provide shuttle services for fans. You can check AirGarage, online parking apps, or look for signage near the stadium to compare prices and locations.

Westroads Mall: Free Parking + ORBT Shuttle

Free parking is available at Westroads Mall, where fans can catch the Omaha Rapid Bus Transit (ORBT), for a direct ride to downtown Omaha. The ORBT runs every 10 minutes for most of the day and costs just $1.25 per ride when using the Umo app. This is a budget-friendly and convenient option for CWS fans looking to avoid downtown traffic and parking congestion.

Blackstone: Flate Rate Parking

Looking for a budget-friendly parking option a bit outside the downtown core? The new Park Omaha garage at 38th & Farnam offers a flat $5 event rate during the CWS (with the first two hours free). It’s a short walk to several transit options — including ORBT, Route 15, and Route 11 — all of which provide quick, direct access to downtown. From there, fans can hop on the free Ballpark Bus to get within a block of Charles Schwab Field.

Free Ballpark Bus

The free Ballpark Bus is a convenient way to get close to the action at Charles Schwab Field. Running every 10 minutes, it loops between Cuming Street near the stadium, the north downtown area, and Dodge Street, where riders can connect to Metro’s ORBT and other bus routes. Stops include two near the stadium, with the closest drop-off and pickup at 14th and Mike Fahey Streets — just a block away. For those heading out of downtown after a game, Metro’s Fastball ORBT is a smart, efficient option. This limited-stop service departs from 10th and Capitol Streets (about a 10-minute walk from the stadium) roughly 20 minutes after each game, stops at 15th and Dodge Streets, and then heads directly to the Westroads parking lot. Frequently Asked Questions About CWS Parking

What streets will be closed?

Plan ahead for road closures around Charles Schwab Field during the CWS. Starting two hours before the first game until one hour after the last, 13th Street (from Cass to Cuming) and Mike Fahey Street (from 13th to 14th) will be closed. ADA drop-offs will be permitted at Mike Fahey & 14th. Note: Vehicles heading west on Cass past 12th Street during closures will be directed onto the interstate.

Additional closures will remain in place throughout the entire CWS: Mike Fahey Street will be closed from 10th to 12th, and northbound 12th Street from Cass will be restricted to Lot B pass holders only.

Besides the closures, there may be construction in Downtown Omaha area, which could cause traffic to back up. Double check for intersection closure, street closures, and street stripping construction. Check your phone’s map for an estimate of how long it could take to get to your destination.

How do you pay for parking in Omaha?

You can pay for most street parking, surface lots, and garages with coins, a debit or credit card at the kiosk or by using the Park Omaha app. Some private lots still require cash.

What is “in-and-out parking”?

In-and-out parking means you’re allowed to leave and come back without paying again. Most lots and garages near Charles Schwab Field do not allow in-and-out during CWS, so once you leave, your spot is gone.

Do you have to pay for parking in the Old Market or downtown?

Yes, parking in the Old Market and the rest of downtown Omaha is usually metered or located in paid garages. During CWS, special event rates often apply, so expect to pay a flat fee rather than an hourly rate.

Is there dedicated bike and motorcycle parking for CWS visitors?

Downtown Omaha has bike racks scattered throughout the area, including near Ruth Sokolof Theater on Mike Fahey Street between 14th and 15th Streets, and many garages offer designated motorcycle parking spots. Check signs when you pull in to a garage. And remember to bring a bike lock — corrals will not be staffed.

What if I don’t want to drive to Charles Schwab Field?

If you don’t want to drive to the CWS, ride shares like Uber and Lyft operate throughout Omaha. Electric scooters and bikes are also available for rent through the Park Omaha app — perfect if you park farther out and want a quick ride to the stadium. Or catch the ORBT for as low as $1.25.

Can I leave my car overnight during the CWS?

Most Park Omaha garages and surface lots do not allow overnight parking unless it’s specifically posted. Private lots may have different rules — check signage carefully to avoid getting fined or towed.

Is ADA parking available for the College World Series?

Yes, ADA parking is available at Charles Schwab Field and in many nearby lots and garages. All spaces, including van-accessible stalls, are first-come, first-served, so it’s a good idea to arrive early if you need accessible parking. It’s free of charge and reserved for vehicles displaying a valid, state-issued disability hangtag or license plate.

Are RVs allowed to park at the stadium?

Parking for oversized vehicles like RVs and motorhomes is very limited near the stadium. Some private lots may offer spots at a $25 fee. It’s best to call ahead to private lots to check availability. Or the city has RV parking available at 17th and Chicago. To reserve your spot and get a price based on your RV size and dates, please send your name, phone number, license plate number, and arrival and departure dates to parking@cityofomaha.org.

How early should you arrive for a CWS game?

Plan to arrive at least 90 minutes before first pitch, especially on weekends or for evening games. Traffic and parking fill up fast — the earlier, the better if you want the best spots!

Are shuttle services available to the College World Series?

Yes! Some private lots and hotels for the CWS offer shuttle services to Charles Schwab Field. Details vary, so check with the lot or your hotel ahead of time if you want a ride to the stadium. Additionally, the free Ballpark Bus is a convenient way to get close to the action at Charles Schwab Field.
