About Jill Lamkins
Jill is the Digital Manager for Hurrdat One.
Prior to joining Hurrdat One, Jill spent three years as a multimedia journalist at KMTV 3 News Now in Omaha, where she developed a deep appreciation for the community and the people who call it home. After earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Jill found a home in Nebraska. Originally from Minnesota, “Minnesota nice” quickly became “Nebraska nice.”
From cheering for the Huskers on the Scarlets Dance Team to meeting Omahans throughout the community as a reporter, Jill has always enjoyed building meaningful connections. With a background in traditional media, she brings expertise in storytelling, content creation, audience engagement, and strategic communication.
After years of telling important stories in the newsroom, Jill was drawn to Hurrdat One’s mission of highlighting the people, places, and experiences that make the community thrive. She is passionate about using social media to connect with audiences and share stories in new and engaging ways.
